Yesterday I was wandering around the neighbourhood happily taking photos of crocuses and springtime sunshine. Today, I got to to see this - the view from my living room window:

and this:

and this:

Dashing my dreams of spring... rain in April gives one hope of flowers. But snow? It's just more winter, and we've had enough.
Here's an intersting bit of sidewalk on Bank Street:

Some plants growing beside the bank:

And a man crossing the street in the snow:

Date: 2009-04-07 05:25 am (UTC)I am not recommending B.C., as they too were hit by snow recently (but there is no snow in their current forecast, just lots of Rain).

Date: 2009-04-07 05:32 am (UTC)According to other sources that I have read, that sunspot cycle has a far bigger effect on the Earth's temperature than human activity does, so "global warming" (especially the type caused by humans) may turn out to be an error in statistics!

Date: 2009-04-07 02:58 pm (UTC)So: as we have done since the dawn of time, we complain about the weather. I bet the first amoeba who struggled out of the depths grumpled that the sunshine was too hot that day. Or not hot enough.

Date: 2009-04-16 09:45 pm (UTC)We don't have that kind of luck, usually. Yes, the temperature can jump or drop many degrees in a day - but we seem to too often get the kind of weather that starts out cold and stays cold!
