I keep coughing. I feel as if I'm in a virus-induced trance.

This didn't stop me from posting about the first part of The Game of Kings to the mailing list, and discussing references and fine points of "Opening Gambit: Threat to a Castle", the first section.

I even dusted off my old webpage of notes for The Game of Kings, and put it up again here. The links don't work and it needs additions, updating, corrections, and proofreading, but getting it up there is a start. Will I find time to continued and expand it?

...Maybe.

It astounds me that after all these years, and after all the times I've reread that book, and the even more times I've reread that chapter, because it's a favourite - it astounds me that I am still finding new interpretations and new insights into what's going on there.

I came across this post accidentally because I was searching to see who else at Dreamwidth had read "The Game of Kings." I just wanted to say thank you for your notes (which I found when I did a search on one of the "Game of Kings" quotations). They were the perfect accompaniment to my first reading of the novel.
