I have read that too; and I have read refutation of it; and I nonetheless think it makes more sense to me than the effect of human activity. Which is not to say we can't pollute ourselves to death if we aren't careful, but there are more forces at work than we can control. Which has always been the case.
So: as we have done since the dawn of time, we complain about the weather. I bet the first amoeba who struggled out of the depths grumpled that the sunshine was too hot that day. Or not hot enough.
