Snow again...
Jan. 11th, 2008 09:06 amAfter a mild, rainy week, we woke up this morning to freezing rain. In the time it took me to come to work, it went from freezing rain to hail to rather nice fluffy snow.
Not, you understand, that we need any more snow.
We've got it anyway.
Winter in Ottawa is an ongoing adventure.

Date: 2008-01-11 02:49 pm (UTC)And the ceremony? Let's say it's a sweetly huge all-muses-all-fandoms-watch-your-back-and-laugh-our-shoes-off event...

Date: 2008-01-11 02:56 pm (UTC)um. yeah.
the Tammys are fun.
Oh, there were people throwing pies at one another too. Oscar Wilde threw one at Snake Plissken - who in turn tried to shoot him with his gun (well, didn't try for a good aim too much...) ...
yeah. And considering that we have even more fun muses this time around, I think it will be fun. Again.

Date: 2008-01-11 03:14 pm (UTC)(Seems to me that Aral Vorkosigan would really, really like Snake Plissken... naw, I didn't just start thinking about that, did I?)
Lovely Hiro icon!

HEE! And I've not added to mine, but I can't avoid loving this one:

True!

That icon is brilliant! It is... incredibly funny.

Date: 2008-01-11 03:57 pm (UTC)Ahahaha well the ceremony lasts... usually is over within a weekend, and you don't have to be following it exactly ALL of the time. Right now, it's just voting, and that's, well, one-off. Especially for these two sections, which are mostly visual sleaze. The last two sections are what I'm looking forward to.
And LOL Snake! Just win. (haha did you know that he's married to Xena? Each time I think of that and I Laugh. Out. Loud. (well, or at least smirk in a don't-you-love-RP kinda way)
... When are you going to, when you have time, tell about the trouble Gwen gets herself into? *loves Gwen's posts, but wouldn't mind some action either ;) *
hehe YES IT IS!

Date: 2008-01-12 08:07 pm (UTC)That OC needs a bit of clearing up, 'cause it was my very first muse, and now upon revisiting her, I've made her rather Mary Sue-ish, and I want to clear that up before I app her for
Oh, and re the same journal on two writing comms? You shouldn't have worried. It's a normal practice actually; that way people can keep track of their writing, focusing it. Tonks is on... four writing comms (TM, thetenspot, and two others in that model), several fics-comms that are Tonks or Remus/Tonks oriented, and any number of RP comms. I found
BTW? I may have mentioned it before, but your Ianto - having read work from both journals - ROCKS!

Date: 2008-01-12 08:17 pm (UTC)Well, I know that some people do it, and I did debate for a while before deciding to do seperate journals. I think I could have gone either way.
I save my WIPs in private posts, so it is nice to be able to spread them out-- rather than having to wade through a whole slew of private posts on one journal! Part of it was RP, too-- one of my RP partners was getting jealous/upset at the prospect of me joining Realms and RPing with a different version of her character... And less drama is always good, so...

Date: 2008-01-12 04:17 pm (UTC)Aw, thank you-- I adore writing him, but I admit that I'm still surprised when I discover that other people read my prompts/threads! And we really ought to set up some Gwen-Ianto interaction, especially once S2 gets going.

Date: 2008-01-12 05:11 pm (UTC)"Need" is not the operative word here. I heartily approve of you having two Ianto journals, because I think you've got just the right tone for Ianto - Ianto as I most love him. And I'm heartily looking forward to Ianto in the coming season. What we've seen in the clips so far is wonderful.
You're welcome to friend!
I intend to do so as soon as I get a moment - as

Me too.

I'd love to. Maybe start with post-show conversations or interactions?

no subject
Date: 2008-01-11 07:44 pm (UTC)Ah, that. *points at own journal profiles, as well as others* you may, and you can. It's a personal choice. SOMETIMES people prefer to keep their muses separate, and have people NOT be influenced by who their other muses are; others just don't mind. And sometimes some people prefer that others don't know 'that new muse' is theirs, and such.
If you want to, by all means do. Those who don't tend to have specific reasons not to. Me, I think I've linked my mun journal on all main muses profiles, and have listed the main four (well... more or less main) on the mun journal. That's fine. *prefers openness to secrecy, oh yes*

Date: 2008-01-12 05:26 pm (UTC)As if you needed encouragement? (I glare meaningfully at Tonks. She doesn't care.)
Thank you for the encouragement. I will indeed post links to my muse-fic from my LJ - when I get around to it.

Date: 2008-01-13 12:39 pm (UTC)*nodnod* Some people who stay quiet do it 'cause they have either witnessed or have been victims of OOC drama (ugh. I honestly wish you never to have to deal with that!). Also, sometimes it's easier to interact with muses when you don't know who's behind them, then the interaction is purely in character - the muse's reaction, not yours. Then again, with the best muns out there it just doesn't make a difference. *grins* And I for one find all the AIM / ooc banter totally lovely.

Date: 2008-01-21 04:43 pm (UTC)There are many, many reasons to love Tonks.

I would want to avoid that. I am usually pretty good at avoiding that. But... it's a reason to keep a low profile.
