Date: 2008-07-12 05:39 am (UTC)There was a very good Negro League team near Pittsburgh -- the Homestead Grays. The town of Homestead lies across the Monongahela River from, uh, Duquesne (I think). It is also known for the HOmestead STrike, in which mill workers got shot. Massively important for labor history.
