I found it interesting. Hold on, let me see if I still have the URL. Yes, it's here. A news item about privacy, and whether we have any, or not.

The interesting thing was to see that Russia and the US don't have adequate privacy, but Canada does. I wonder what the difference it. Laws, I suppose - what is allowable and what is not. Safeguards.

I take it for granted that none of us have much, and keep my secrets to myself, and my mouth shut about them.

I suspect the difference lies among the founding social values of the countries involved. Consider:

Americans are entitled to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness".

Canadians, to "life, liberty, and the security of the person".

That probably has something to do with it.

I find the differences between Americans and Canadians fascinating, particularly since the rest of the world seems to think we are all alike for some reason.
