Love it when fate has an instant payback.

For the task of cleaning up my bedroom, I found a wallet I'd used when travelling last year. Inside was $120.00 in cash.

Bonus! Tidy bedroom and money!

I used the rather small picture of the cover of Avengers: Hawkeye - Solo TPB that was in Marvel Previews #101, and framed it for my wall. It took the place of the picture of Peter Wingfield that was by the kitchen, and now that picture is in the bedroom.

I love rearranging my art.

Another discovery of lost treasure, and nothing this time to do with cleaning up.

I have had a tendency, all my life, to lose jewellry. Cheap or expensive, it doesn't matter. I stopped wearing rings entirely because of that - there was a pearl ring my mother gave me when I was about twelve that I still grieve. Some family heirlooms, too. Earrings tend to fall out even if I have doubled the catchpiece, or added the little plastic bits.

Necklaces generally stay on, unless they break. So I like to wear them.

So I had a gold necklace I'd bought last January in the Caribbean. I noticed one day that the catch was loose. "I'd better get that fixed before I lose it," I said to myself. But I didn't take it off. By the end of the day, it was gone. I had nothing to replace it with.

That was about four months ago. I hoped it would turn up in the apartment, but... no. I'd been out and about that day, on the bus, to various places. I assumed it was gone forever.

I found it just now, lost in the cushions of my favourite chair.

First money, now this. What will I find next?

...Too bad I haven't lost any million-dollar bills recently.

I found more money this morning. In wiping the water from my bathroom floor after showering, I found a dime.

First, $120.00 in bills. Then a gold chain. Now a dime. Okay, I know that finding a stray coin on the floor isn't particularly rare, but I'm hoping to encourage this trend.
