A song for those of us who are addicted to George R.R. Martin and A Song of Ice and Fire.

Write like the Wind (George R.R. Martin).

I hope he's listening.

Oh, what a find. Marvel One-Shots.

Starting my morning with a laugh: and the joy of getting more of Agent Coulson.

First, A funny thing happened on the way to Thor's Hammer.

Secondly, Coulson and Sitwell in The Consultant.

More fodder for my theory about Agent Coulson: <"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0AsUfIHuVA">Lynchpin of the Marvel Universe. In which the interviewer keeps presuming!

Woo boy, this vid seems just made for me. The only thing I love more than musicals... Maybe.

Sharp Dressed Man

This video might explain why my books aren't always on the shelves where I thought I'd put them.

This article tells the story of the making of the vid.

Vids...

People sent me two vids this evening. One, from [profile] lunacy_gal, is a Road Runner cartoon: Coyote Falls. I'm sure I watched Road Runner sometimes as a kid, but not much, and I was never much of a Looney Tunes fan. Is taht heresy? Anyway, seeing it in this style was kind of fun, in a 'blast from the past' sort of way. I like the use of music and rhythm.

The other thing is a version of the preview of the upcoming Green Lantern move that aired at WonderCon this year. In brightest day, in blackest night.... I found it loaded slowly, but it's worth waiting for.

Now, really, I've never been much of a Green Lantern fan - his stories seem to epitomize the DC style that I don't much care for, which is not to say I haven't enjoyed some of the Green Lantern stories I've read. I'm sort of indifferent to both character and the comic. And yes, I know there have been several Green Lanterns from Earth. I always think of Hal Jordan as being 'my' Green Lantern.

Here we have Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. I thought he was gorgeous in Wolverine - not so much so in this clip, though I'm not sure why not. A little dorky, not the tough but likable hotshot pilot I always pictured. I don't like the alien space adventure aspect of the Green Lantern Corps - for that sort of thing, give me the Legion of Super-Heroes any time. Now, there's a movie I'd like to see.

Despite my misgivings, this sort of pulled me in, and before I was at the end of the preview I found myself curious, and wanting to see it. Despite the funny-looking aliens and the green-light power-magic that is the hallmark of the comic. Reminds me of the aspects of Superman that I don't much like. Yeah, I know, picky, picky.

It's terribly embarrassing how funny I found this version of 'Memory'.

Sadly, the chance that I will get to see this play is at the low end of probability. But I love it that they're doing trailers for plays.

No spoilers here. (Heh.)

This film clip about Theo Jansen and his creations is quite wonderful. I love it as creation - as art, craft and engineering - though the insistance that they are his offspring strikes me as a little too Freudian. Though perhaps only too correct.

Thought this Velvet Goldmine vid was brilliant.

What a good movie that was.

I don't usually like ads, but I did love this one. Especially since I just wrote a piece for Apaplexy about Mayan glyphs.

I found a link on [livejournal.com profile] catalenamara's LJ site to this vid using clips of early Leonard Nimoy movies.

Wonderful - I particularly like the lip movement at 0:31 and look at that familiar eyebrow tilt at 2:34 to 2:36.

Love that man - then as now.

I wanted to do something a little different with my trip photos from November, so I made a montage of them, a sort of video, called Coba, Mayan Jungle City - using the pictures I took on December 1 of Mayan ruins in Coba, Mexico.

That was fun. I've never done anything like that. I haven't done anything that felt remotely so creative in a long time.

I even went so far as to fantasize getting better vid-making software so I can do more. Maybe, maybe. Does anyone here have suggestions as to what I should look at?

I thought this was a wonderful story:

fajrdrako: ([Doctor Who] - Eleven)

I loved this: Can-Can Onzw, or, series five in two minutes. Good job with highlights here.

fajrdrako: ([White Collar] - Neal)

This promo made me smile. Broadly.
