World Enough and Time

I'd seen photos of the Tonner doll for the Tenth Doctor. Didn't look much like him. Liked the Martha doll. And today I saw Tonner's Captain Jack and Gwen Cooper.

I didn't expect to be tempted because I don't spend $200 on dolls. But. Sigh.

Sports involving swords: kendo, bokken, laido, tai chi with sword, fencing, traditional broadsword, that sort of thing.

Possibly also archery.

And long-distance hiking.

The obstacle is not really my physical condition, but money and time.

Used to be when I wanted an order from Forbidden Planet (one of the most wonderful stores in the universe), I had to go to London. I remember when they were a cart in road - strategically placed on my normal walking route to University College. I remember the joy of seeing comics I hadn't seen since I'd left Canada. And my sense of guilt when I bought more than a pound's worth at a time.

Today I discovered how easy it is to order from them online. And they ship to Canada.

This is too easy.

I am doomed, but happy.
