It's incredible that two comedians could get through to a vice-presidential candidate, though Sarkozy himself is a previous victim. Way back in 1995 I remember writing about the Queen getting tricked in the same way by a Canadian prankster.
I had no idea that Canadians had a habit of doing this sort of thing.
Mind you, there's always Rick Mercer (http://www.rickmercer.com/) who has a TV show about doing things like telling Americans bizarre things about Canada and making them believe them.
