Lionel was over this evening, and got my Linux working with the Net at last. Happy day! I browsed a little, and he taught me to do some basic things, and maybe now it's time to buy Ubuntu for Dummies or some such useful book.

Mind you, we didn't get the printer working. It doesn't seem to like the drivers. I'm not going to worry about it for the time being.
