Walking along Third Avenue on my way to buy groceries, I loved the look of the fallen leaves on the sidewalk.

Nature is never garish.

It's yet another sign of a changing season, much though I wish it were not happening. :-/

I like this particular season change. I'm fine up to, say, Christmas. January might be okay, or not. February is usually too cold; by March winter is wearing one me; April is simply ugly. But it's all a cycle, and then we get May and June again.
