Today I listened to the audiobook Torchwood: Hidden, which was good enough that I didn't want to stop listening and pretty much heard the whole thing in one go, on bus rides, and while exercising.

The plot wasn't brilliant but it was fun, Naoko Mori's reading was great, and there was some wonderful suspense. There wasn't much in the way of personal material - such is the way of pro fic - but the characters were nicely characterized, especially Owen and Gwen in their scenes together. I was most amused by seeing Jack arrested for murder, totally outclassing the cops who were interrogating him. And if you like hurt!Ianto, well...!

It is really, really creepy as [livejournal.com profile] aeron_lanart said :D And oh em gee, Burn does a Gwen that's got all of Eve's pausing and her polite little smiles that make her voice so distinct. He does EVERYONE so good, even how Gareth some what slows down his voice a bit to do Ianto and you can totally picture Burn sitting in the studio puffing out his chest and pulling his chin back to do Ianto's voice :D

It's a very creepy story and extremely well told~ I definitely recommend it when you get a chance!
