Much enjoyed. I think this season is picking up.

  1. No Nathan. I missed him. No Angela Petrelli. I missed her, too.

  2. Sylar, Maya and Alejandro were somewhat interesting. I'd love to think Alejandro understood what Sylar said to him.

  3. Speaking of languages, is it possible that Mr. Bennet's power is being able to speak all languages, as necessary? Loved his scene with the man from Odessa. And I always love seeing the Haitian.

  4. Peter goes to Montreal! Yay! He's practically in my neighbourhood. (Give or take a few hundred kilometres.)

  5. Monica seems awfully... juvenile. Helpless. Clueless. Something. I can't feel much enthusiasm for her. Another weak female character. She may not cry as much as Maya, but she looks worried as much as Alejandro. (No, the new characters don't impress me at all!) But I do like Monica's powers, and I liked seeing her do gymnastics for Mohinder. I liked it that he wouldn't inject her, but I despair of his honesty. Wouldn't some kind of subterfuge or deception have been a better idea?

  6. No Elle. I don't know yet what I think of her story, but I'm curious and it was frustrating not to learn more about her.

  7. What's up with Niki/Jessica? What's she planning? Is he plotting against the Company, or against Mohinder? Or does Jessica have one agenda and Niki another? (That would be like in first season.)

  8. I'm hoping Hiro will leave the 17th century soon.

  9. As usual, I like Isaac's art and I hope we get more of that theme, and see more of his comics and paintings.

On the one hand, injecting Monica would've been wrong. On the other, Bennet is right. Mohinder has made his situation more unstable and jeopardized them all.

So he should have made it look as if he'd injected her when he actually hadn't. Can't that man tell a lie?

Good questions about Mr. Bennet: I can't answer them. But I think he is currently the most interesting of all the characters. I still love Peter most, but I wish he'd get his memory back.

according to spoilers, he is the rumored immortal character we've been hearing about, and his present-day name is Adam Monroe, as in the guy Midas Bob fears.

Woo - cool! If he's self-healing, that makes a lot of sense. His name is probably already Adam Monroe in the 17th century - we've only heard his Japanese name, I think. Cool.

I mean I cam't believe Bob doesn't know Monica is related to Micah and Nana, and they're just keeping her and Niki apart for plot reasons, not because it makes sense.

Maybe he doesn't want Niki/Jessica to know about Monica. Don't know why he wouldn't, but then we don't know what the Company plans. I note that Niki has not been phoning Micah.

Good point. The explanation I came up with for myself was that he could've only kept the pretense up for so long before Bob wondered about her lack of symptoms, and his suspicion culminated in Mohinder being monitored as he gave Monica or someone else a second real injection. But, you're right. Mohinder isn't big on practical life skills. Sometimes, watching him is like watching a less quirky, less endearing, companionless, human version of the Doctor. It's not a pretty picture.

As for Niki, I just assumed that she hadn't called Micah, because she didn't want to expend energy evading her genius son's inevitable questions.

On the characters, I agree wholeheartedly that Bennet in any context is the most interesting and has singlehandedly saved a couple of these early eps. for me.

What a great description! I love it! Maybe in another 800 years, Mohinder will be getting it right.

Re Niki: Yes, and I imagine she doesn't want to draw attention to him. He could be either a hostage for her good behaviour, or a target of the Company himself. Better for him to be ignored. Of course, Monica might lead them to him, but Niki didn't know about that.

Thank goodness for Mr. Bennet!
