Neflix.com is an online company that lets you rent an ulimited number of DVDs (though you can only have three at a time out) for an unlimited amount of time, at $20 a month. You set up an account and then a rental que which allows you to choose from their catalog and put a priority of what you want to see when. they then send you the DVDs by mail with postage paid return envelopes. Once you've sent a DVD back, they'll send you the next DVD that's available and in your que. I think it's a great idea, especially for people who maybe live in places without access to decent videostore. They have a pretty big catalog and they do specials now and then allowing you to have more than three DVDs out at once.
Hmm, maybe I'll do a net-search and see what I can find in the way of Cowboy Bebop pictures. Is the story generally about those two?
Not really, but... Cowboy Bebop is about the entire crew of bounty hunters, which includes Spike. We get bits and pieces throughout the series about Spike's past. Vicious was once his partner and close friend, but now they're enemies who try to kill each other whenever they meet. Vicious is a complete enigma and the whole story of Spike's past is kind of oblique--you keep getting flashes, sometimes literally, of what happened to him and his girlfriend Julia and the whole thing with Vicious. The artwork is, at times, stunning, and the storylines are highly entertaining. Very film noirish (I keep finding myself saying this lately!) in a sci-fi setting.
I think I'll look into this, though I doubt if Netflix rents to Canadians. (The logistics would make it impossibly, Complicated, tho' I might be wrong.) I might be able to find the DVDs locally. At least I can get the manga - for a price!

I hope you can rent the discs somewhere. To buy they're very pricey with only a couple of episodes per tape/disc.

Yes, I'll look around for the anime - and meanwhile read the manga insofar as I can afford to buy them.
