Some sad news...

Two of my budgies died today. Gambit died around 11 a.m.; Pryde probably an hour or so after that, though I was out, and didn't find her till I got home hours later.

Cause of death? I'm almost certain it was teflon poisoning. I'd been cooking some vegetables in a teflon pan; it burned dry. I didn't think much about it - these things happen - but it turns out that teflon fumes are extremely toxic for budgies. I had no idea.

Logan seems to be all right. I'm hoping that having lasted this long after the burned-pot incident, the danger is over for him.

I am so glad Logan survived the Great Teflon Massacre. yes, life goes on, but I miss the chirps. I keep talking to Logan, because he needs someone to talk to.

I'm letting him fly around for a while - exercise might make him feel better, too. Like all budgies, he loves those curtain rods.
