Rainy November Day...
Nov. 11th, 2006 10:01 pmIn watching Torchwood: Day One again, the line that most struck me was Captain Jack's, when the sex alien died: "You cross the galaxy for great sex, and still you die alone." The application of "you die alone" to himself was clear - he died alone on the game station - but it struck me this time that with the reference to crossing the galaxy for "great sex" he could well be canonically referring to Rose and the Doctor. Subtle enough to be ambiguous (given Jack's adventurous past) but still quite wonderful.
I don't usually watch the news on TV if I can help it, but
I made beef stew for supper, and a carrot-pineapple cake for the apa collation. Collation was fun; Beulah drove me home and told me about her recent visit to Sedona.
