So do I. The concept is terrific. Some are wonderful, others fall flat. I love the good ones that really get the point of the story across.

PS, I'm emailing my niece. She and my nephew liked PotC 2 better, LOL. I feel outnumbered. ;) Then again, they are kiddies and probably could care less about the writing.

You thought the writing wasn't as good in PotC2? I thought it was about the same, though it might have been cut a little more to be snappier. It lacked the element of suprise that the first movie had, but it could capitalize on familiarity for humour and surprise.

There were few new jokes in the writing, mostly rehashing the old ones. I thought the first movie was pretty witty and laughed a lot; not so much here. I assume it was the writing but I suppose it could be the acting.

But I also include the score when I say writing, and I wanted more original music! Only the Davy Jones theme was new, bah! I just loved the original music and wanted some more.

Well, I'm going to see it again on Saturday. I don't know how many times I'll see it altogether - I think I was excessive about the first movie, and I've no idea now how many times I saw it in the theatre. (More than eight, I think.)

LOL, her job. She got a full time position in another city. She broke the news to me first because she knew I would be most upset. :p

True, but she lives pretty far from me (remember my angsting about driving out to her place?). Work was a convenient compromise.

She said we'd keep in touch. I hope we do! It's very good for her.
