On getting up (fairly early) this morning, I fed the birds, made some coffee, and watched last week's episode of Doctor Who, Army of Ghosts. Then I watched some Doctor Who music vids, made some oatmeal porridge, and settled in for Doomsday. Completely captivated.

It was brilliant. I loved it. I cried. They've been setting this up all season....

Best bits:
- the rebellious Cyberman fighting for Queen and County
- the Doctor's last few seconds with Rose
- the Doctor's line about hope - beautifully Tolkienesque

Funny and heartbreaking. What happened to Rose was more or less what I thought and expected - I'm so glad she didn't regenerate or die - but it happened so much better than I expected, even though I have faith in this show - well, I am thrilled. A huge salute of respect to Russell T. Davies for pulling this off. Really.

I quite liked -- not that I obsessively rewatched or anything -- the Doctor wiping his face with both hands, then clearing his expression. He hurts, but Let Us Never Speak Of It Again.

Oh, yes. He was perfect - all the way through. I liked the tear running down his cheek - after he disappeared to Rose.

I love how he does it like a child, smearing with both hands.

That was such a perfect, intense moment. Seemed so emotionally real.
