Breakfast: made (and improvised) a recipe for banana muffins without sugar. I used some maple syrup. They won approval from [livejournal.com profile] maaseru and Pim, so I'll keep the recipe and do it again.

Went to the Ottawa Slashers' brunch; it was good to see them. I hadn't been to one of those get-togethers in ages. I also liked the breakfast menu at the Clocktower pub: I was able to get my minimalist egg and toast with no trouble. With bonus peanut butter, even.

Went to the Girls Want to Know show held by the Lesbian Information Xchange at the Glebe Community Centre. How wonderful of them to hold it within easy walking distance of my place... There were a lot of booths and interesting businesses, from lawyers to reiki practitioners, pet services to beadwork - all sorts of things. I bought a pair of earrings.

Worked on the editing project that I've taken on.

Put my Professionals slash novel Forever True online. I should have done that eons ago. Note to self: get more of my fic up. It's about time. I don't still have all of it, but I have a lot.

[livejournal.com profile] maaseru and Pim joined me for supper. We watched The Man from U.N.C.L.E., " The Deadly Games Affair". Loved it. Oh, Napoleon. Oh, Illya. Love the mischeivous look Illya gives Napoleon at the end, when Angelique is waiting for him.

Can anyone here recommend any Man from U.N.C.L.E fic? Slash preferably, but anything good will do.

I've already read the wonderful story Botticelli by Elizabeth Bear; best thing I've read in ages.

If you know any Man from U.N.C.L.E. sites or communtities, that would be good, too.

X-Files...

I've been watching the first season of X-Files in French lately.

What a wonderful show that was. It's been a joy to revisit it - enough time has passed to shed my bitterness at what happened to it, though not the memory. Many things have tried to copy its success, but it's still unique in quality and style. It has aged well, too - except for the hairstyles on the women. Scully looks fine: she's classic.

I wonder if I'll fall in love with Mulder again.
