X-Files...

I've been watching the first season of X-Files in French lately.
What a wonderful show that was. It's been a joy to revisit it - enough time has passed to shed my bitterness at what happened to it, though not the memory. Many things have tried to copy its success, but it's still unique in quality and style. It has aged well, too - except for the hairstyles on the women. Scully looks fine: she's classic.
I wonder if I'll fall in love with Mulder again.

Oh, you can listen to the full Mozart concert. But no, that would be the wrong region for you, right.

Date: 2011-04-13 04:26 am (UTC)X-Files has the advantage of being material I am somewhat familiar with, which helps me to follow vocabulary and context. It has the disadvantage of being dubbed in European French rather than Canadian French. European French is maybe easier to understand, but I need to get the hang of Québec idioms and accents.
The alternative has been soap operas and game shows. I won't even consider watching sports.
