The BBC is crazy and I love them...

From an interview with Karen Gillan, who plays the new companion to the Eleventh Doctor on Doctor Who:

I got the recall, the second audition. That was when I started sweating. This huge thing. And it was so secretive I couldn't even tell BBC reception where I was going, had to pretend it was for something called Panic Moon, which is an anagram of companion.

Panic Moon. I like that.

Oh, no! Kai Owen is going to be at Polaris 24, the SF convention in Toronto in July.

Why am I not thrilled? Well, because I thought there was nothing that interested me at Polaris this year, and I could skip it without regret because, you know, no money.

But Kai Owen. A real live Torchwood guest. In Canada, yet. Only a couple of hundred miles away. (Far enough to be expensive, but...)

And none of the other guests really interest me. I mean, Mark Sheppard is great, but I heard him talk last year.

Kai Owen. I've never seen him in person. I'd love to see him. Oh dear.

Leverage: Good guys, bad guys, and Mark Sheppard...

I watched the end of Leverage season two tonight.

Enjoyed it very much, of course.

But I didn't like season two in general nearly as much as season one. Season one was clever. Season two was so busy trying to be outrageous, it forgot to be clever.

Ah well. I still enjoyed myself and I still adore Parker and the ground she hangs over.

I assume there will be a season three?
