I think the lesson of history is that it teaches us nothing. Its meaning, like the meaning of life, is not what it gives us, but what we take from it.

The bus strike...

Kin Jee, who runs my local comic book store - the one I can't get to at the moment because there are no buses - wrote:

There’s got to be a way to force the transit union and the city back to the negotiation table and get them to work on resolving the bus strike. I fear they are so caught up in their battle they don't notice or care what is happening to this city.
