Marion and Vicky brought over episodes of
Foyle's War for me to watch, and I'm enjoying it very much - from the vantage point so far of halfway through the second episode. I love Honeysuckle Weeks as
Samantha Stewart. And Michael Kitchen as Foyle reminds me of Daniel Craig - that can't be a bad thing. I like his unpretentiousness.
Marion and Vicky took me out to lunch today - it was wonderful. They showed just the right measure of solicitude - making me feel safe - and I had no problem using the crutches to get in and out of the restaurant, which was Von's Bistro at Bank and Fourth. I had their hamburger - it was utterly heavenly. We talked about history more than fandom. What fun.
Afterwards, they came back to my place and we watched
Doctor Who, series 4, episode 1, "Partners in Crime". A good time was had by all.
