I was trudging through the snowstorm to buy milk for the theatre when I ran into maaboroshi at a bus stop. She works for the Department of National Defence. They've sent employees home because of the weather.
The theatre soldiers on, and the air force closes down.
Says something about this country.
Don't mind me, I'm just jealous because no one is sending me home because of weather.
Seems that the ratings for Torchwood's UK series 2 premiere were good. Extremely good. So that makes the likelihood of a series 3 pretty high.
Add to that the recent statement by John Barrowman that he still loved doing the show and was happy to continue starring in it if they were to continue producing it.
Many of my favourite shows - Firefly, for instance - have been short-lived. It's great to see the success of this one.
If I'd started with this episode I wouldn't have been impressed at all. If I give 1x01 a rating of, say, 6 or 7 out of ten with ( a few bonus marks for good lines... )
So if you people weren't telling me how good this show becomes, I'd probably be bailing here and now.
