Doctor Who: Doomsday...

On getting up (fairly early) this morning, I fed the birds, made some coffee, and watched last week's episode of Doctor Who, Army of Ghosts. Then I watched some Doctor Who music vids, made some oatmeal porridge, and settled in for Doomsday. Completely captivated.

It was brilliant. I loved it. I cried. They've been setting this up all season.... ( Spoilers follow... )

Viva Italia...

Italy won. Italy won! I am so thrilled.

What a game. I'm so glad I watched. What a great introduction to World Cup football.

Italy! Buffon is my hero. All of them. Wow.

And what a great day it has been. First a magnificently better-than-expected season-ender for Doctor Who. Then a better-than-expected World Cup game. Woo. Happiness.

I wonder why Zidane did what he did - arguably France might have won if he hadn't been kicked out of the game, which makes his attack on Materazzi seem all the more inexplicable.

Unsurprisingly, I got the one who is so much my favourite character that he ruined all the others for me. Who is one of my favourite characters of all time. I still think he was underused....( Ah, the joys of immortality! )

Torchwood...

I was tickled to find this website for Torchwood. What's fun is recognizing the pictures they've used - Sir Robin MacLeish (1632-1687) is Percy Bysshe Shelley, and Robert Burns is Black Brian, who drowned his mistress. (Heh.) And Queen Victoria, looking unamused on the 'disclaimer' page.

A wonderful addition to the other Torchwood sites I know about:

- The Torchwood Institute (American site)
- IMDB (with almost no info so far)
- Episode Guides (much better)

So why can't I now find the Torchwood site that needs a password, which leads to a Torchwood site with the Cybermen in control? That was a good one...

So am I missing good sites?
