While wandering around on this beautiful sunny day at lunchtime I found a copy of the DVD of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" with Rupert Everett, Stanley Tucci and those other good folk for only $9.99 at Blockbuster. O happy day! It's one I was tempted by at $25.00. At $9.99 I don't even need to feel guilty.

Sexy Shakespeare. As good as it gets. Wonder if I'll ever find the Branagh movies that cheap?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Gad, I adore that movie. Did you ever read my comments on it on my 'favourite movies' website at http://www.angelfire.com/zine/azurite/muchado.html?

You're very welcome. I hadn't read your comments, but I have now. Thank you for giving me the link. I love that movie. It's got such passion and joy - and naked male butts!

Indeed. Not to mention beautiful music, lovely Tuscan scenery, Shakespeare at his wittiest, and naked male torsos.

I wish I could see a version of that play with Katherine Hepburn as Beatrice. (Could Spencer Tracy be Benedick? I don't see why not, but I'm be more likely to cast Cary Grant.)
