I'm really fascinated by languages and I love reading about language in general and in particular, and one really good way to compare languages, or just to get a sense of what they're like, is to look at Bibles. I once had a print-out of the Lord's Prayer in Basque, but I usually like to look at Genesis. You know what you're getting with Genesis - even if it looks entirely different.

Well, here's a new one. Apparently it's a serious dialectical translation, or so I'm told: The Aussie Bible.

I want to read it.

I bet the Ottawa Public Library is not planning to get a copy for its foreign language section.

I'll pass both on to him. He reads my friends list on a regular basis. Mine and lannings. Says it's a good way to pass the odd afternoon. :-)

BTW -- I hear Craig Parker is going to be in Toronto? I'm so jealous!

Yes! He's going to be at the "Gathering of the Fellowship" in December and we're going to see him. I am thrilled!
