Then we watched two episodes of Doctor Who she hadn't seen: "The Vampires of Venice" and "Amy's Dream". I hadn 't liked "Amy's Dream" the first time, but it seemed more palatable now, despite still reminding me of some of my least favourite episodes of Star Trek.

No wonder I love both characters.
Also watched Notting Hill, and enjoyed it.
I read Ludwig II, vol. 1, by You Hikari, and enjoyed it very much indeed - it set up an atmosphere of 19th century passion and intrigue that surpasses most comics, or prose historical fiction. Now I want to read the other volumes. It also got me curious to read more about Mad King Ludwig, who, it appears, was probably not mad.
