- Groceries at Costco with
maaseru. Bought some Christmas presents. Got food for supper.
- Went to the Ottawa Mini-Maker's Faire with Barbara. Some fascinating things; saw some #D printers at work - can't help thinking of them as replicators. One had copied a figure of a man reading a book; the pages of the book were so thin and flexible you could turn them. One man was making butterflies out of caribou antlers; there was a violin-maker and two mask-makers, one specializing in huge oversize masks, the other making tiny decorative masks so small I thought they might fit the budgies.
I actually knew one of the replicator craftsmen - Andrew Plumb. - Did more genealogy with Barbara; we found corroboration of some facts, and more information about my ancestors, including Jerom Muir of Sanday, born in 1762. Nothing about his parents, though. The Muirs on Sanday go back to the 1400s, but details are scanty.
- Marion and Vicky came over. I made moussaka and we looked at my pictures of Turkey.
- Worked on my current contracted job.
- Reading the new Spenser novel, Lullaby, the one that's by Ace Atkins rather than Robert B. Parker. It starts well.
