maaseru and I set out for breakfast this morning, and decided to go back to the T&T Supermarket that we visited yesterday, the wildly successful Asian superstore that has opened up to the south of town. The hot food at their dim sum counter is amazing.
So we had a very lovely fish, noodles, vegetables and rice breakfast (with leftovers for lunch) and even though
maaseru lost her bottle of Coke, a nice gentleman found it for us.
Then we went to Costco. I begged
maaseru not to let me spend $500, and I didn't, and she didn't, but I did find utterly wonderful winter boots and ... pause for a few notes of "O Tannenbaum" - a beautiful and fully decorated Christmas tree. It's going to be gorgeous. And I don't have a tree. I've been decorating the harp for the past few years. I'll still decorate the harp. But I'll have a tree as well.
Yesterday in Rona and Canadian Tire,
explodedteabag and I were looking at the magnificent Christmas decorations. I was quite taken with the array of Christmas miniatures - potential dioramas of towns and skating rinks and Victorian fantasy.
explodedteabag was looking for the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree, which I had seen in Home Hardware, but they didn't have it.
I was also looking for two pounds of white sand for my zen garden. I eventually found some beautiful sand intended for crabs in a pet store.
I'll have to think of a way to make my zen garden look like Christmas.
