World Enough and Time

This Captain Jack Harkness vid was linked by shayne_mayhem today, and I was so glad to see it. One of the few that focuses on the story as I think it goes.

This trailer for Doctor Who series 5 excited me mightily. Especially... Well, so much of it.

This music vid, 2001: A Who Odyssey, is wonderful, especially the very last bit. The Discover Magazine site said, "Warning: for major Doctor Who nerds only," but I think you'd have to know 2001: A Space Odyssey to get it, too.

This afternoon I decided to go for a long walk. It was drizzling a little, but not badly. I set out optimistically. And in less than an hour I was tired and my back was aching. I had to take a bus to get home.

That was really demoralizing. I felt stiff and aching - maybe because of the weather? - which made me feel all the more grumpy.

I cheered myself up by watching John Barrowman on the Paul O'Grady show; first as Zaza from La Cage Aux Folles, and then talking about what he's been doing lately, and how to put false eyelashes on while onstage, and how to wear a corset. And why there are never enough loos for women in theatres. One of those perennial mysteries.
