Trees and more trees...

At lunchtime, I went to the Rideau Centre. It was such a nice day I was able to get take-out chicken and vegetables and take them up for a picnic meal in the park on top of the Rideau Centre. While there, I got out my camera. Seems I can't resist taking photos of trees.

I can't recall ever paying much attention to this tree during the summer.
Now it stands out.

That "parkland on the roof" is one of the gems of the downtown neighbourhoods, isn't it?

It's such a lovely little haven, above everything. Sometimes in the summer it gets too crowded at lunchtime for peace, but most of the time, it's lovely.

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I really liked the lighting. There was another tree with a dramatic shadow across the street, but I couldn't get a good angle on it.

I'm glad you're enjoying them. I'm sort of hoping to chronicle by photos the change of seasons in Ottawa. Mostly I'm just enjoying playing with my camera.

I keep wanting to take pictures of people, but one can't just walk up and stick a camera in a stranger's face. I'm trying to think of ways around this.
