Hawker Fury

The plane was falling in flames.

Captain Jack Harkness didn't see his life flash before him. Instead he thought of James Harper, a man who never existed, the soldier he had known only a few hours. They had time for a dance, a kiss. Jack had waited a lifetime for him, and now they would never meet again.

Unlike Jack, James knew from the start that he hadn't much time. When he disappeared in light, was that like dying in a falling aeroplane, blind with dizziness and fear, unable to think, except to remember a lost forbidden love...?

Yeah. There's no way it's a happy story for Captain Jack, though it is a heroic story.

I really enjoyed doing this from original!Jack's point of view, since I usually use the viewpoint of our Torchwood Jack.
