1)what's on your bedside table?

A bottle of water, reading glasses, a box of kleenex, and a couple of comic books I haven't put away yet.


2) what's the geekiest part of your music collection?

I am way too clueless to know what music is geeky and what isn't. I honestly think the answer is 'none of it is geeky' - music is simply music, and you like it or you don't. I know a lot of people would think my collection of Broadway soundtracks is lame, but I love it with a passion.



3) what do you eat when you raid the fridge at night?

I don't raid the fridge at night.


4) what is your secret "guaranteed weeping" film?

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Or at least, it's as close as anything has ever been.


5) if you could have plastic surgery, what would you have done?

Nothing. I wouldn't do it. The idea gives me the creeps.


6) do you have a completely irrational fear? if so, of what?

Mild claustrophobia, sometimes.


7) what is the little physical habit that gives away your insecure moments?

Nail-biting, probably.


8) do you ever have to beg?

For what?


9) do you have too many love interests?

Surely there's no such thing.

Yes.


11) describe your bed.

A king-size bed with wooden frame and two attached side tables. Under the mattress (inside the wooden frame, and so invisible) are many thousands of comic books in boxes. The sheets are currently striped burgungy, gold, and blue, which I like because it makes me think of Egyptian colours. The duvet is tan with a brownish design. A big blue pillow for use while reading is at the head of the bed, for use as necessary.

Both.

Louise Brooks. Cheryl Tiegs. Katharine Hepburn.


14) do you know how to play poker?

No.


15) do you like to color?

Yes.


16) how do you drive?

I don't.


17) what do you miss most about being little?

Having time to read.


18) are you happy with your given name?

Yes, very happy. It's the best name ever. Though when I was a kid I thought "Amy" would be better.


19) what was the last song you were listening to?

Something ghastly on the car radio. I've no idea what it was, except that it was ugly.


20) have you ever been in a school play?

Yes. I was a tree in kindergarten. I've been in other plays since, but not often.


22) do you like yourself and believe in yourself?

Yes - most days.


23) have you ever done any illegal drugs?

Incredibly, no.


24) do you think you're cute?

Of course. I think everyone is cute.


25) do you consider yourself to be a nice person?

Define 'nice'. I am sincere and I am friendly: I guess it adds up to 'nice', though I don't like the word much. It's a mimsy sort of word.
