It turned out to be more interesting than I thought. Mostly it just reflects places I've been. I am not entirely sure whether I ever actually used the Brussels metro; but some of them brought back delightful nostalgic memories.

That's really groovy. We aren't so well-provisioned with metros in the antipodes, and they haven't included the Melbourne one.

I have been on the Brussels one, though. A charming young lady tried to pick me up on it (alas that my French isn't good enough to be equally charming back!)

They didn't include Ottawa either, which doesn't have an underground, but does have a light-rail system (a small line whose expansion is surrounded by much controversy). On the other hand, I've never used it - I've used those foreign/European systems and not the light rail in my own city. Mostly I uses buses. Which is a pity, really, as I love light rail transit.

Oooh - I wish that had happened to me! My French is quite good enough for those purposes. (Happy smile at the thought.)
