Of course the man isn't ready to talk about the stories he'll have in season 5. That's more than a year away. He's a writer, not a fortune teller. He's still thinking about things. Of course he doesn't know exactly what he's going to do yet. He probably has more ideas than he can handle anyway.
Then there's this interesting bit:
Possibly the most exciting thing that was said during the panel was when a fan asked, "Is River Song the Doctor's wife?" Moffat quickly leaned over and pretended to whisper something into Gardner's ear, then nothing. She did however offer this bit of information which was the best part of the whole shebang, "Rose has met other Doctors before, and that she recognized the David Tennant Doctor."Rose, not River? Ah, the confusions of time travel and time paradoxes! (Not to mention the obfuscations of producers.) Is Julie Gardner staying with the show? I was under the impression that she, too, was leaving. Apparently not.

And then, asked if Rose would be back, Moffat made a crack about the Doctor successfully getting rid of a clingy girlfriend that even another dimension couldn't keep away.

Date: 2008-07-25 07:17 pm (UTC)Highly suspicious, you know, this business of being a writer. Must be a cover for something more likely, like international espionage and terrorism. I'm still wondering why the Canadian customs people confiscated John Barrowman's clothes.
But I think that article got Rose/River mixed up.
Seems likely. If only because it makes a lot more sense that way.

LOL - how snarky!

Seriously, did they really do that? Did he get them back?
And can they definitively answer: boxers or briefs?

What could possibly be wrong with his clothes? Or anybody's clothes?
It's a mystery. We may never know.

Yeah. I guess it's just a perk of the job.

Eventually, but it took a few days. He was left in Toronto for a few days with nothing to wear. I never did hear why they held his stuff.
And can they definitively answer: boxers or briefs?
Ah, but Customs and Immigration don't answer questions, they only ask them. Like the hard-baked interrogators they are. They'll never tell.
