If I wasn't so tired, I'd write a drabble.

As it is... I had a busy day, including a visit to Ikea to buy a bulb for my lovely blue plastic Ikea reading lamp that I use with my computer. They don't make them in blue any more. I treasure its blueness. [livejournal.com profile] maaseru and I had lunch there, too; very nice, though traipsing through Ikea on a hot day made the Foot complain.

But the Foot is doing well. The physiotherapist yesterday was Robyn, not Debbie, since Debbie is cruising in Alaska right now. Robyn says that in a week I have gained several degrees of movement, and she wants me to work on balance and leg strength. Ugh! I'm not too fond of the leg lifts, which is probably precisely why I need to do them. I did some tai chi today - a very little bit.

Robyn also told me to walk all I can. So I will. I like walking. Too bad it's so hot right now - not exactly ideal walking weather.

We also shopped at Home Hardware because I needed some bathroom stuff (i.e., a bathmat) and we had some adventures with hoses, best not inquired into too closely. Bought birdseed. It maybe wasn't exciting errands, but it was a bit of a thrill to be doing errands at all.

Watched the results show of Toronto's How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? tonight. I had voted for Janna, Kyla, Marisa, and Elicia. Kyla was booted off today: too bad, as I admired her eyebrows. She had a nice voice, but tended to hold back on body language. It was fun watching John Barrowman, but he didn't say anything in this one. Too bad: he was fun yesterday, with a few choice comments like, "Every leading lady in musical theatre is a bitch - if they're really good."

[livejournal.com profile] maaseru and I tried to glimpse the Dutch twins in patterned lederhosen in the audience, but didn't see them. I haven't told the story of being in the audience yet, have I? What a week it has been! Soon, soon, I'll tell all...

Right now I'm going to go to bed with fanfic. I'm back to work tomorrow.

Good luck at work.

I want to hear about the Dutch twins! (as soon as you have energy to tell the tale, that is).

Thank you!

I look forward to sharing the story of the Dutch twins and their grandmother's 70th birthday.

Dutch twins in patterned lederhosen

Sounds like one of Captain Jack's dates. ;-)

John Barrowman was encouraging them to sing 'The Lonely Goatherd' as a duet and dance. I was amused.

P.S. I was especially amused considering the naughty lyrics I've heard him sing to that song.
