I'm in Toronto, in a beautiful hotel, the Delta Toronto East, watching the Pride Parade on TV and doing my foot exercises.

I'd like to be seeing the Pride Parade in person. Heck, I'd like to be in it, and other years, I have been. But The Foot is a hard taskmaster and won't allow it. That's okay. It's exciting just to be here. I love Toronto!

It was a nice drive to get here; we listened to Elaine Overholt's CD on how to sing, and John Barrowman's Cole Porter CD. Traffic was good, and of course there was rain - I don't think I've ever come to Toronto without rain on highway 401.

Off to the CBC building any time soon now - !

Isn't Monsieur Barrowman the marshal of the Toronto parade or something like that?

Barrowman was on the "How do you solve a problem like Maria?" float, waving at the crowd while Gavin Crawford swanned around in a Maria dress and a bunch of guys danced in fake lederhosen. I'm sure a good time was had by all.

Toronto's wonderful, isn't it? My mother was from Toronto, and I have good memories of going there as a kid. Even as a young adult - it seemed to be easy to get to Toronto cheaply in those days. No longer.

Sigh. I wish I could be there ... discussing things, or just watching. I haven't been to T.O. for a year or so (those money blues, don't ya know).

With a New Job, it's more about Time these days. I'm hoping to manage some time off by or before Xmas this year. :-/

Whenever I come to Toronto I think: why don't I come here more?

Easy answer: money. Time. The usual.

There you are, being gay in Toronto. You lucky panda.

We've had a solid 24 hours of harsh storms, here. A bike race in Pittsburgh had to be shortened because of a tornado warning! And lots of rain, wind, leaves & branches all over the ground, and that lovely, incomparable sound of rain falling on things.

I hope you have an utterly wonderful time. I want to hear all about it.

The weather up in Ottawa has not been much better (can we say "buckety-buckety", boys and girls?), but I do appreciate being spared the tornado watches and warnings!

It rained on the way to Toronto, but then, it always rains on the way to Toronto.

The weather in Toronto was nice, but we saw the Ottawa weather-warnings on TV.

Hey, if I'd known you were in town ... I'd have waved from the NDP contingent at the tail end of the parade.
