Dilemma...

I love these things, silly as they are. Digitalspy has a a vote-in contest to determine who's sexier, David Tennant or John Barrowman.

And I find myself in a terrible dilemma. I was about to vote for Barrowman, but that felt dishonest. So would voting for Tennant.

I decided to just love 'em both and not vote at all.

Unless I change my mind.

There's no write-in, is there? Because while both men are adorable, I would have to vote for Christopher Eccleston. And I'm betting at least half of the Torchwood fans would rather vote for DGL.

But that's just my opinion. Rescuing dogs and old ladies does make Barrowman seem awfully attractive, it's true...

I'm still thinking about this. By every measure I can think of, my favourite of the lot is Captain Jack - so why do I feel impelled to give the Doctor equal billing? And, like you, I prefer Eccleston. But even if the choice were Barrowman/Eccleston and not Barrowman/Tennant, I'd feel the difficulty in choosing. I want to pick them as matched sets.

Do you mean Gareth David-Lloyd? I know a lot of fans find him incredibly sexy. Sometimes he comes close... usually when he's fighting or weeping. But there are numerous characters in Torchwood I find much sexier than Ianto, which is, objectively viewed, a pity. Under the circumstances. (Examples: Gwen, Captain John, Swanson, Martha.)

Much as I like John Barrowman as an actor, singer, and person, he's just not my type: just not sexy to me.

David Tennant is definitely getting nearer, and there are times when his smile can break your heart.

Christopher Eccleston would be better yet.

I'm not sure about Barrowman himself - but I find Captain Jack sexy. Or maybe Barrowman when he sings. Or maybe... Well, I can't deny my fascination. But it isn't as simple as it was with Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor, or Sarah Shahi as Dani Reese.
