There's a wonderful site called [livejournal.com profile] iantos_desktop, where those of us who can't look at the official Torchwood website because of our geographical misfortune can learn what's on it.

Is there a similar community for those of us who want to look at the official Doctor Who website? I find that more and more of it is blocked to Canadians.

Grump.

I'd really like to read the Paul Cornell comic.

I only know of one place that grabs a bunch of stuff from the BBC site and shares it - http://blogtorwho.blogspot.com/

For example, they currently have the new and improved "The Stolen Earth" trailer, plus some of the extras like "The Big Question" every week.

Thank you so much - this is exactly the kind of site I was looking for. I didn't know about it. Perfect!

Gotta see that "Stolen Earth" trailer.

Perhaps someone might be convinced to create it, or to expand the Desktop?

I'd like that. A year ago, as far as I know, I could see anything on the site. Now - less and less.

The Doctor Who Advent Calendar has become something I look forward to in December. I hope they'll let me use it this year.

Rowan has ripped all the mission vids, dark talk, and a lot of the other extra vids and posted them here: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=rowan72

You can view the text only site (get to the wallpapers) here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/cgi-bin/education/betsie/parser.pl/0005/www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood/index.shtml

And I discovered that if you bypass the main page (by using Google search) you can actually use the mission area fully: http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood/sites/arg/pages/messages.shtml

Thanks for the links!

Is there an equivalent way to get into the forbidden Doctor Who pages?

That I *don't* know... So if you find out, please share the love.

Which I love! But I haven't seen the comics there.

No, you're right, I think it's only the website vids, because their rules are so strict. And I'm not in the more general communities. I do have the animated series from last year, but not the comics.

I hate to think there are comics I can't read! I'm not quite as bothered about the games.

It would be okay if the same material would ultimately migrate to the CBC site, but it never does.

I know. My favorite stuff is the Tennant and Tate Q&As - I just love their chemistry, even more as themselves than as the Doctor and Donna
