ETA: I see the current questions shows up, rather than the one I answered. So: the question I was replying to was: Pirate or ninja?
Can't I have both?
Captain Jack Sparrow if it's pirates - though truly, most of my favourite heroes are pirates one way or another.
If it's ninjas, it has to be Elektra.

Pirates, of course. But ninjas are also fun. Having just seen Forbidden Kingdom with Jackie Chan and Jet Li, I must say, kung fu and ninjas are delightful just for the self-contained world you find when you stumble upon them.
But I've been a pirate for most of my life. Outlaw! Arrr! Dweller upon the fringe! Roberto Clemente!
(Sports reference. Pittsburgh's pro baseball team is the Pirates. Kind of makes me smile to know that Anders captained the Caprica Buccaneers. The Pirates are also known as the Bucs. Baseball's fun. Remember the Lynx and the Paw-Sox? Energetic young men in tight pants? Sure you remember!)
