I enjoyed watching the YouTube copy of the Jonathan Ross interiew with Anthony Stewart Head. There were a few spoilers for me for Buffy episodes I haven't seen yet, which was okay, and a scene where Anthony Head gets a scene with a good male/male kiss on Little Britain. Amusing.

Best line was from Jonathan Ross: "Anthony is like catnip for ladies." He's not wrong.

I've not seen it because Jonathon Ross annoys the heck out of me for so many many reasons.

He certainly is *nods like crazy*

I can well understand that! I prefer interviews with more substance and less nonsense, and Ross often plays the game of making it about himself, not the person he's interviewing. Very annoying. "Interview" and "tease" should not be synonyms.

But to see ASH I was willing to risk my nerves and watch.

I'm a big fan of the sofa interview - when it works. When it works it's like I've been invited in for coffee with the participants and I find myself nodding along and going "Oh really that's intersting". JR too often becomes the obnoxious party guest who hasn't realised he's getting on people's nerves. If I do brave it for some reason I generally find myself sitting there willing him to shut up and let someone else get a word in edgewise...

Or who realizes it, and relishes it, and just pushes it further. Enjoying being annoying.

What bugs me is when he asks a question, then interrupts the person's attempt to answer with a joke that derails them entirely, and the question never does get answered.

Not the kind of person I want at my own dinner parties, but tolerable in small doses on TV in order to see the likes of John Barrowman or Anthony Stewart Head.

Fun to see, isn't it? Such a wonderful man! (And no, I don't mean Jonathan Ross.)

ASH giggles with such charm. Not everyone can do that. In fact, most of us can't.
