Felt like a busy day. Marion, Vicky, and [livejournal.com profile] maaseru joined me for lunch. Then Lyn and Beulah visited, and we watched two episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer ("Surprise" and "Innocence"). Lyn had seen them before, Beulah had not.

After they left, I had to do laundry, and so did [livejournal.com profile] maaseru. And I couldn't do it without help - carrying loads of laundry with crutches is tricky. So [livejournal.com profile] maaboroshi declared it at Laundry Theatre Night, and took her portable DVD player down to the laundry room, and we watched one episode of Buffy during the wash cycle ("Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered") and then another while our things were in the dryers ("Passion"). It was really quite fun.

There's a point at which one or two are not enough. Looking forward to your response to these episodes.

Even if you need help to do the laundry, it's a step - or at least a hobble - towards normality again. Go you!

And a giant step towards cleanliness. Really! Surprises me how much this sort of thing bothers me when I lose control over it. Seems so basic - keepig oneself, one's clothes and one's place relatively clean.

As my friends will attest, I'm not really a hyper-housekeeper - not in practice - just in theory!

It's the lack of control - I may live in a mess, but it's my choice how much mess.

Yes. Control is the problem. In normal life, the place may be a mess, but I know I can deal with it on my own time. And just now, I can't, and that's... annoying.

I find I keep plotting ways to do things anyway, and then get stymied by my inability to lift and carry anything while using a walker or crutches.

Wow. You're sprinting ahead on the episodes there!

And now I have to wait for your reactions to Ted and Bad Eggs before we get to Surprise/Innocence *sigh*. At least it gives me time to catch up again!

I am. And I must backtrack a little and write my comments before I get too ahead of myself. It's more fun when my commentaries and my viewing are at the same place. At the same time... when energy is low, it's so much easier to lounge in unthinking, passive watching.

With any luck I can get my comments on the next few written quickly.

You seem to have skipped Phases though - not watching out of order I hope? *wags finger*

I've watched "Phases" - yup, seeing everything initially in order, and then backtracking a little.
