Sandwich

Rhys was enjoying a sandwich in the Plass when Jack Harkness sat down beside him. "Nice day."

"That it is," said Rhys.

"Waiting for Gwen?"

Rhys shook his head. "She doesn't know I'm here, unless she's watching on the cameras. No. It's daft, but I just like sitting here, knowing she's nearby, somewhere way under my feet." He grinned. "I'm a sentimental fool, that's all."

"I admire that," said Jack.

"Really?"

"You've been good to her," said Jack. "You make her happy. Of course I admire that."

Rhys flushed, pleased. "Friends, then? You and me?"

"Always, I hope," said Jack.

Hee. I'm still working on my Jack/Gwen/Rhys story, but not getting it done very quickly. The Foot has been a spanner in the works.
