I finished and posted my entry for Nerodi's Smallville Historical AU, Pharaoh. You can find it at the Smallville Slash Archives or on my Fajrdrako website.

It's primarily a Clex story, but this one comes with a warning for incest and ritual sex - it also contains Lex/Lionel and Lex/Lucas.

Hooray!

Well, I'm glad you got it done. What a satisfying feeling, eh? Has it changed much? I'll go and read it tonight!

Not, it isn't much changed - just a few small fixes. Thanks again for your help!

Fascinating...and different than I'd imagined it would be. It caught me off guard and caught me up in it, which is always a Good Thing. I couldn't imagine how it was going to end. You had me going there for a minute with Jonathan's request to Lex as they left, and what happened on the road (I don't want to be any more explicit because I don't want to 'Spoil' it for anyone reading the comments who hasn't read the story). I thought perhaps it might have a different, not nearly as satisfactory ending! I'm glad it ended the way it did.

Your comment has me wondering what you expected.... Especially with regard to the ending. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and I'm glad it was surprisingly different. Thank you!

When Jonathan told Lex "Bring my son back to me", and then it looked as if Clark might be run over on the road, I had visions of Lex bringing Clark back to them in his arms, dead... (Yeah, I know, I have a strange mind.....)

That's a scenario that is very 'classic' in comic books. And it isn't as if I don't write death stories sometimes! But no, I didn't want to do that here. Poor Lex!

Oooh, it was so lovely. Great palace intrigue, *terrific* interaction between all the characters and, in the manner of all truly good AUs, the characters felt and sounded like themselves, even though the setting is so far removed from Smallville. Nicely, done. *Very* nicely done.

Hi-- just got the chance to read Pharoah, and I have to say it is without a doubt one of my favorite entries into the fanfic challenge. I thought the Luthor dynamics were fascinating,as was all the details regarding the Pharoahs, their preists thier customs etc (I'm not sure if you made it up or it is based on fact, but either way it was hot and disturbing and fascinating) and I loved Lex/Kent family interaction at the farm etc. You know what? I just loved it all. I thought it was incredibly well written and transportive.

Thanks for participating.

(p.s. I added you to my friends list)

Oh, what a wonderful thing to say! I know some of the others there are of high quality - haven't read everything yet. It was a good challenge, for sure.

Heh. My love of the Luthors was showing.

I'm not sure if you made it up or it is based on fact

A bit of both. Imagination based on fact, in come cased loosely based, in other cases, closely based. I've always been fascinated by Egyptians and their customs.

either way it was hot and disturbing and fascinating

Oh, thank you!

I added you to my friends list

I am delighted.

So glad you liked the story.

, but either way it was hot and disturbing and fascinating
