Hello, I am home!
Apr. 3rd, 2008 07:26 pmEnsconced on my living room couch, serenaded by screeching budgies, I am home.
I am tired. I have no intention of doing anything I don't need to right now.
The Foot is up. I have water to hand, DVD player to hand, and with thanks to Buster, Mickey, Commodorified, and other wonderful people (maaboroshi), I have entertainment. maaseru's talented fingers are typing this, for which I thank her.
I think perhaps she expects clever dictation - I am barely coping with coherent, if not grammatical. Talk to you later.

Date: 2008-04-08 06:19 pm (UTC)Starting to feel more human, I think. Still not mobile. Still on painkillers. Makes life sort of mellow.

Date: 2008-04-03 11:52 pm (UTC)Hey, you can watch a load of Buffy while you're recovering, and have folks type up your thoughts! No-work Reviews! Heh, heh.
(Sorry, maaseru.)

Date: 2008-04-08 06:20 pm (UTC)So now I sleep a lot. And occasionally come to the computer. And then go back to the sofa and sleep a lot more.

Date: 2008-04-04 01:07 am (UTC)I hope you and The Foot will have a smooth and speedy recovery. It freaked me out a bit to see you were in hospital, and I'm very glad to hear you're home again and that things are not worse. Sending many warm thoughts your way.

Date: 2008-04-08 06:25 pm (UTC)Thanks for the kind words. Though things are dull at present, I have DVDs to watch, fanfic to read, magazines, and access to my computer when I get up the energy to cross the room - and The Foot really isn't hurting too badly. So. It's a whole different set of problems from the stress and worry of work and trying to find time to write fanfic and so on, and nice in a way to just lie back and be passive about life.

I'm not even remembering any interesting dreams.
Life is sort of mellow and passive. I'm trying to set up meals on wheels now.

Date: 2008-04-04 03:08 am (UTC)And, I must say, you look much better in this icon photo than you did in the "ghastly hospital bed" photo... hm... wait a minute... ok, never mind.
Damn. Time to go get new glasses.

Date: 2008-04-04 03:57 am (UTC)Take good care of that. When I broke my foot a few years back... I had a lousy doc and I basically ignored it, and I've been paying for it ever since. Don't try to rush yourself.

Date: 2008-04-08 06:29 pm (UTC)Yes, I hope for the best. And I'm taking care of it.
Lots of sleep, DVDs and fannish friends visiting.... best care I can think of.
