A great line today from Warren Ellis: "It would seem there's a small amount of money to be made in Davros fetishism."

Well. If anyone could do it, Ellis could.

Seems almost an inevitability, at the moment now that I've read that Bad Signal note.

Though I try to avoid spoilers and rumours, I have heard talk about Davros returning in a Doctor Who story - in an episode. If they revamp him as they did the Doctor and the Master, yes, an inevitability.

Or maybe just a conceptual inevitability, given the fannish milieu, whether they actually do it or not.

Davros is just a name to me, but the talk about him amuses me.

You gotta see Genesis of the Daleks, then. The first and definitive Davros story, plus classic 4th Doctor + Sarah + Harry (getting attacked by a giant clam, natch). One of the best stories of Classic Who evah! (And it has a strong resonance with some of the stuff with 10 in series 3.)

Ooh, sounds like fun! I've been wanting to see Harry. Okay, I'll email you - at your LJ address?

Warren Ellis is a bad, bad man. Whenever I read his stuff I am caught between admiration and horror. Which (I think) is just the reaction he'd be hoping for.

I'd like to see him write an episode of Doctor Who. His Torchwood would be terrifying, but his Doctor Who would probably be fun.
