Torchwood: the best things about it...

__kali__, who often has moments of creative genius, asked over on torchwood why we like the show, crack though it is. With all its strange flaws and fascinations.

And I found that once I started listing things, it was hard to stop.

If you want to see my list, it's here. It was such fun thinking about the good things and moments - and even finding a number that had nothing particularly to do with Captain Jack.

Hee hee hee! I decided to let others do the scribbling for me.

Except this one.

The fact that there may yet be a musical episode. (I really want this, really, really, really. I want John Hart to come back for it, too. I want him and Ianto doing a duet about Jack's worst habits in bed. I wantwantwant this. See my observation two above. We CAN have hope!)

Ianto and Captain John: yes.

I want to see a song and dance routine with Jack and Tosh tap-dancing in top hats.

And what I really, really want to see, is Jack and the Doctor singing the two parts of "You're the Top" together.

I'm afraid Jack would be singing "You're Still the One," though.

And it's too bad we can't have Myfawny singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow," although I do think she and Ianto could have a duet of some sort. Not sure what they'd sing, though.

When I first heard the idea of a musical episode a la Buffy I was not at all interested. Then I saw Gareth perform as a singer. Droooooool! (I do loves me some Jim Morrison impersonator, y'know?)

Of course - I'm happy with that, too! (One of my favourite music vids is a Jack/Ten theme set to "I Will Wait For You", sung by Vikki Carr.)

I don't think this should be a regular 1-hour episode of Torchwood. I think this should be a two-hour special, maybe a sort of parallel of the Doctor Who Christmas shows.

DW S3 Soundtrack

The DW S3 soundtrack is finally available. I'm getting this weekend when I have time to listen it. What's more, I getting it for free, because I have a B-day Itunes gift certificate. :)
