One side of my family is given to marrying close cousins, so that there are a limited number of surnames on that branch. One of my cousins, upon marrying another of my cousins, decided that as a Woman of the Eighties (as it was then) she was going to keep her maiden name. So for the last 20 years she's been Doretta Kramer-Kramer.
